Extending a helping hand
SUPP extended aid to the victims of a recent fire at Sungai Apong here today.
SUPP Women chief Kho Teck Wan, MBKS councillor Goh Tze Hui, and Tan Kai, a political secretary to the Chief Minister, visited the victims today. The victims are currently putting up with a relative living nearby.
The SUPP leaders presented essential items like mattresses, clothing and food to the victims. They have also informed Sesco to cut off electricity supply to the burned down house as well as informed the Welfare Department to provide the necessary assistance.
Seven people, including a one-year-old toddler, were left homeless after their house at Jalan Sungai Apong Baru here were gutted in an evening fire on Feb 16.
