UTC opening hours
Political Secretary to Chief Minister Tan Kai reckoned that with UTC operating time reduced to 5 pm, it will definitely bring inconveniences to those who wish to apply or submit their government documentation after office hours.
Tan Kai said the objective of UTC is to provide services to people who are unable to go to government agencies during office hours.
Initially, UTC operating time was until 10 pm but PH government changed it to 7 pm, and now further changed to 5 pm.
Such operating time is no different from other government agencies thus it creates inconveniences for those who want to go after normal office hour.
He questioned Stampin MP, Chong Chieng Jen on his stance in this decision made by PH government.
Tan Kai said after the setting up of UTC, it has brought conveniences to the people and he hoped the operating hour will be maintained and not because it was implemented by previous government.
