Former Science, Technology and Environment Minister Tan Sri Law Hieng Ding is described as a great loss to the people of Sarawak, said Bukit Assek Branch chairman Datuk Chieng Buong Tuong.

Chieng said as a federal minister, Law had contributed much to the development of Sarawak and the state lost a leader while SUPP lost a comrade.

He recalled Law serving as a minister in Kuala Lumpur, many people, especially those in Sarikei.

Law had arranged to pick them up at the airport, and when the patients were hospitalised, he and his wife would visit them and took care of the sick during their stay in the national capital, he added.
