SJK Chung Hua Stapok roof needs emergency repair

State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang who visited SJK Chung Hua Stapok, Batu Kawa called to all parties to put their effort together to repair the roof which is expected to cost RM500,000 as the repair needs to be done before there is any more damages to it.

Lo called to contractors to help sponsor the raw materials while the school. The school which is under Batu Kawa, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian’s constituency will also get allocation from the State government to assist, he said.

On Thursday, the roof of the school which housed the Music room and the computer room was flooded with water after the roof flew off in a freak weather on Thursday afternoon. 40 computers in the building were all destroyed.

Lo said it was fortunate that no one was hurt in the incident as the children had all gone home. Slight damages were also seen in other building roof in the school compound including a big tree uprooted.

The Education department has been informed of the incident.
