Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian rushed to the a fire in Batu kawa
Minister for Local Government and Housing, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian rushed to Jalan 12 A4, RPR Batu Kawa yesterday after being told of a fire there at 4 pm.
He comforted the affected residents and said he would assist them in terms of financial aid. Dr. Sim also gave his personal donation to the fire victims.
The fire destroyed five residential houses where about 20 people were made homeless.
Three of the houses were completely destroyed while the rest were partially burned.
The Fire and Rescue department is investigating the cause and losses in the fire.
