Helping the needy
Datuk Sebastian Ting, Piasau State Assemblyman who heard of a poor family in need, paid them a visit yesterday at Sunflower 2, Permyjaya, Miri to give assistance as well as moral support.
Ting was told that the 47 year old wife of Si Seng Kwang had a stroke recently and is dependent on her family to care for her. She still needs a lot of medical attention including personal medical items.
The couple has five children, two working and two young ones who are schooling. One has opted to stay home and helped her mother. Si who previously worked as a mechanic also quit his job to take care of his wife.
As the family’s income is not stable and dependent on the two children, Ting then arranged for a medical-friendly bed for Si’s wife and diapers for her daily use.
