Children’s Cancer Society Go Bald campaign
President of Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) Jocelyn Hee, received RM40, 000 from Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting who participated for the second time in the society Go Bald campaign this May.
Hee said Datuk Sebastian Ting has been a strong supporter of this cause and had his head shaved in support of the fight against childhood cancer.
A color run held in conjunction with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September had been successful in spreading the message on childhood cancer to more people in the community in the past five years.
The run which will start at 6am in all venues, will flag off in Kuching on Sept 17 at Saradise, in Miri at Marina Central Park on Sept 23 and at Sibu Town Square on Sept 30.
Registration fee is RM38 for early birds until July 22.
