Lo: we must support Sarawak based parties
State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang is confident that he will win back Stampin if given a chance to fight out with DAP in the coming general election.
Lo who is also the Padawan Municipal said over the years, he has established good rapport with the people and have devoted his time to the community. “I have worked hard on fulfilling my state election promises and I fully intend to continue to keep up with this positive momentum and to do more for Sarawak if Sarawakians deliver me into Parliament via P196 Stampin. I am ready and willing to wrest back P 196 Stampin from DAP, to continue Tok Nan’s race for a stronger Sarawak and to speak up for an autonomous Sarawak in Parliament, if I have the mandate of our people and my leaders,” he said.
He urged Sarawakians to vote with a logical mind, to continue Tok Nan’s legacy and to achieve a stronger Sarawak or be easily swamped with twisted and negative emotions from the opposition about KL.What happens in KL should remain in KL. We do not want UMNO to flood our Sarawak’s State Legislative assembly, the way they have infiltrated Sabah’s state legislative assembly. Likewise, we do not want Pakatan Harapan to penetrate Sarawak and to flood our state legislative assembly too. We do not want Malayans to rule Sarawak. All Sarawakians must therefore remain united and support Sarawak based parties. Remember, my fellow Sarawakians, this is a fight for a stronger Sarawak!
We miss Tok Nan dearly and we must carry on his fight and his dreams to continue in our fight for Sarawak’s rights. Tok Nan would have wanted us to see how CM Abang Jo is continuing his legacy and he would have wanted us to put our trust firmly in CM Abang Jo. We need to pull all our resources and stand as one united front behind CM Abang Jo.
Lo said everyone must remind ourselves of Adenan’s words and bear in mind that Technology is important. What CM Abang Jo has been doing is helping Sarawak takes huge strides by leapfrogging towards greater technological advancement and hence towards better development and financial independence. Pushing Sarawak’s youth to take up the state’s challenge to become a developed state via technology is CM Abang Jo’s wise and farsighted vision for Sarawak; We will have our internet up to the fastest speed in no time instead of lagging behind like in many third world countries.
Like many great cities around the world, transportation is number one and the transportation network in Sarawak is ongoing, going on at really good pace with funds from federal and is already being significantly improved as we speak.
We will continue to fight for Sarawak’s autonomous rights as laid down under MA63. We have to be clear that there was no talk of cessation from Malaysia but that does not mean we cannot fight for more autonomy for Sarawak. We, Sarawakians are optimistic and we are confident that our autonomous rights will be restored to us in time to come as promised to our CM Abang Jo by our present ruling PM Tun Najib.
Sarawak, he added, needs a caring government that takes care of the people, not only a more developed Sarawak with better roads and infrastructure but especially a Sarawak where the poor and the less privileged must be helped and looked after first.
