Tiang; disappointed with polling date of GE14
SUPP Youth chief Michael Tiang, expressed his disappointment over the 14th general election polling date which falls on a Wednesday.
The Election commission had announced April 28 to be nomination day and polling on May 9. There will be 11 days of campaigning.
Tiang who is also a political secretary to the Chief Minister said he received a lot of text and calls from voters in Sibu who expressed their inablility to return for voting. as they worked outside Sarawak.
He added a number of Sibu people are working in Peninsula and Singapore. This is not serving the spirit of democracy well, he said.
