Workshop to empower women to subsidize their income
Batu Kitang women were given the opportunity to participate in several workshop to encourage them to empower themselves and as a way to bring them together as a big family.
Lo Khere Chiang, State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, during a recent make up workshop said the several workshop organised will help bring women in the area to build up their confidence and also as a way for them to learn independence.
Should they enjoy what they are doing, they can advance further and make a living out of it or do it part time to subsidize their livelihood. A total of 50 women took part in the make up training session taught by senior Makeup trainer, Mick Nah.
Lo said other workshop included Soap Making Basic Workshop (to be held on 8 April Sunday 10am 1pm ),Soap Making Intermediate Workshop and Soap Making Packaging Workshop.
The participants only paid RM10 each and both materials and meals are provided.
Besides the workshops, Batu Kitang zone will also give free Zumba sessions every Wednesday, starting from March 4 starting from 7:30pm to 9pm.
