Bandar Kuching voters urged to support Barisan Nasional

“The YB has been here for too long and he is a millionaire now. His combined monthly salary for both his MP and state ADUN (elected representative) posts are RM50,000 per month earning him an annual income of RM600,000.
“In five years, he has earned an income of RM3 million. So isn’t he a millionaire?” the Local Government and Housing Minister said at SUPP Kuching Branch Chinese New Year Open House at its premise along Jalan Sungai Padungan here yesterday.
The Bandar Kuching seat is currently held by state DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen, who is also Kota Sentosa assemblyman.
Hinting that with the general election in “about eight to nine weeks”, Dr Sim called on Bandar Kuching voters to bring forth change by voting BN this round.
“It’s time to change the YB who ‘tengok sahaja’ (look only),” he said, uttering his favourite catchphrase to describe the opposition for not walking their talk.
He pointed out that a win for BN in Bandar Kuching was not just to wrest the parliament constituency back for the coalition but also for a stronger Sarawak.
“It is very important for Sarawak to win all 31 seats in the coming general election to ensure a stronger Sarawak and to do so, we need to start working now.”
