Masing affirmed that Teras should not join Barisan
Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) President Tan Sri James Masing said Sarawak BN already has four party components which is enough, thus there is no need for the Barisan Nasional to allow Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (TERAS) to come into the BN’s fold.
The coalition parties are PBB, SUPP, PRS and SPDP.
He said with too many members in BN, there would be problems, which may lead to disunity among the BN coalition parties and this will subsequently have an affect on the strength of the BN. He affirmed that PRS will not support Teras to join BN.
TERAS was announced last Thursday by former SPDP President, Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom and former Sibu Chairman, Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh. With them were the G4 Datuk Peter Nansian(Tasik Biru), Paulus Palu Gumbang (Batu Danau), Rosey Yunus(Bekenu), Datuk Sylvester Entre (Marudi) and SUPP Jonicol Rayong (Engkilili), Datuk Dr, Jerip Susil (Bengoh), Ranum Mina (Opar) and George Lagong (SWP).
