Datuk Seri Richard Riot: not interested in Teras
SUPP deputy president Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem confirmed that he is no interested to join Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (TERAS) a new party which was announced on the last day of the State Legislative last Thursday by deserter of former President of SPDP, Tan Sri William Mawan and former Sibu Chairman, Dato’ Seri Wong Soon Koh.
Riot said TERAS have not extended any invitation, but even if they did, he would not agree to it. “I am now the Federal Minister (Human Resources Ministry) and am very happy with the present situation, therefore, why should I go to the new party?”
He said Teras’s future is very insecure and he could not see how it will end. He said if TERAS wanted to join the Sarawak Barisan Nasional, they must have the agreement of all the other BN component parties.
