Helping out the less fortunate
Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting and Miri Women Caring Society, lead by Betty Pong, went to the Persatuan Ibu Bapa Kanak-kanak Istimewa Miri( PIBAKIS) and the Old Folks Home to share Christmas joy of giving to the less fortunate.
At the Pibakis, the group gave out 20 school uniforms to the poor and needy OKU students.
They then proceed to the old folks home, where the elderly were given free blood test.
Ting said the event is jointly organised with Miri Women Caring Society and Diabetics of Malaysia Miri Branch.
He thanked the organisers and those involved in the charity for spending time with the less fortunate and hoped this will be an annual event for other festivities.
