SUPP triennial delegates conference (TDC) on Dec 21-23 will see direct elections for the party’s top five posts for the first time. The PM is expected to officiate the occasion.

SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian revealed that direct elections will be held for the posts of president, two deputy presidents, secretary-general, and treasurer to be elected by delegates.

He revealed that this is the first time they have this direct election. In the past, delegates elected the central committee (CC) and then the CC elected office bearers.

“For the Youth and Woman (sections)they will have their respective elections on Dec 21. Our TDC will be conducted on Dec 22 and 23, and closed by national Barisan Nasional chairman (Najib),” he added

All 50 SUPP branches and 30 sub-branches must complete their elections by this Wednesday  before the TDC.

The TDC would take place at the party’s headquarters.
