Anniversary St Joseph’s School cum fund raising
Some old boys of St Joseph’s School have taken up the challenge to raise funds to restore the unsafe Mill Hill Block of classrooms. This time around, a total of RM102500 was pledged by Class ’77 in the hope to add on substantially to the total sum collected so far by Class ’79 and Class ’83-85. The cheque was presented to the President of Old Josephians’ Association, Datuk Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian in the school premises. During a cheerful banter in the well-loved school canteen, the Class ’77 members joked about their concerted efforts to have outdone their predecessors.
It is hoped that the restoration fund continues to grow by leaps and bounds so that the restoration of the Mill Hill Block is realistic and viable. In conjunction with the school’s celebration of the 135th Anniversary 2017, which culminates in a grand reunion dinner on the 17 November, it is needless to say that more show of generosity is expected during the dinner.
