Gotong royong at Hui Sing Garden Community Police Station
Members of Komuniti 1Malaysia Taman Hui Sing, JKK Hui Sing Penrissen and volunteer police personnel from Sekama Police Station recently carried out a “gotong royong” activity at Hui Sing Garden Community Police Station.
The “gotong royong” event was carried out following a meeting and discussion on various issues on community policing between JKK Hui Sing Penrissen and Kommuniti 1Malaysia Taman Hui Sing with Kuching District Police Chief, ACP Tuan Haji Abang Ahmad Abang Julai.
The event served its purpose and objective of promoting community-based policing to bridge gaps and promote transparency between the local community and the police in order to more effectively solve crime related problems.
All the participants hoped that there would be more events of this nature which provided a platform for the police to interact with the local communities of the area to promote community policing and proactively address the immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as crime, social disorder, and fear of crime.
