Resurfacing of road near junction of Batu Kawa-Jalan Stephen Yong completed

The resurfacing of the road near the traffic light junction of Batu Kawa-Jalan Stephen Yong has started today.

Following a discussion with the JKR and YB Datuk Dr Sim, the latter has directed his Political Secretary Tan Kai to hold a meeting with the JKR Engineer and Contractor last Friday, and the contractor has agreed to complete the work by Monday ( 12/6/2017)

The contractor agreed to do overtime work on Sunday ( 11/6/2017) during the meeting in order to ensure that all work are to be completed by Monday.

Based on today ( Sunday) site inspection, the contractor has completed one lane by noon and is expected to complete the second lane by evening, and by Monday both lane can be opened to traffic.

This portion of the road work was earlier scheduled to be completed before Gawai, but it was delayed due to a number of workers returning home to their Kampung for the celebration.
