New narcotic chief
Supt Lukas anak Aket took over from Supt Moses anak Agat as Sarawak Head of Narcotic today.
Lukas aged 49 vowed to fight drug abuse in Sarawak and called for everyone to join hands to fight the menace.
Born in Kuching, Lukas last posting was in Penang. He had also served in Terengganu, Sabah and in Kuching before.
Lukas said drug situation is not as bad in Sarawak as in Penang but said it is still a must to eliminate this abuse which destroyed families.
Moses opted for early retirement due to poor health. He had been with the police force for 38 years.
Sarawak Commissioner of Police, Dato’ Mohamad Wira Sabtu witnessed the the handing over ceremony.
