Construction works on Phase 1 of new government polyclinic at Lopeng

Piasau assemblyman  Dato Sebastian Ting , who went for a site visit at the RM3.5 million new government polyclinic at Lopeng, said work is progressing well with  land-clearing and sand-filling work on the 5.6-acre site on schedule.

He said the first phase started in August and they will monitor the progress as it goes along to ensure that the whole project will be completed as schedule.

Ting was accompanied by Mayor of Miri, Adam Yii  and Miri Hospital director Dr Jack Wong.

On the lack of parking areas at the Miri Hospital  which was still a long standing issue despite having 140 new parking bay last year, Ting said they need to have a mulit level car park to ease the conjestion.

He said this was due to people from outside Miri who come to the hospital to seek treatment.
