Disposal of containers and abandoned cars near Everbright Park, 3rd Mile, Jalan Penrissen.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau have been approached by the residents of Everbright Park at 3rd Mile, Jalan Penrissen, Kuching who complained of illegal parking of containers by some business operators and abandoned cars behind the shophouses at Everbright Park, 3rd Mile, Jalan Penrissen, Kuching.
According to the residents who spoke through their spokesman (Mr Chew), the illegal parking of containers which are being used as a store by some business operators are causing blockage of drains and disrupting the water flow thus resulting in flash flooding. The blockage of the drains are also serving as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
The residents also complained that the abandoned cars are also unsightly and also taking up parking spaces which could be better used for visitors and customers of the other business operators.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau hopes that the public including business operators will stop to think about what impact their action will have on others. Being responsible and considerate is the key to making sure our actions will not cause a nuisance/problem to others. This will go a long way towards reducing the enforcement work load of the relevant authorities concerned.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau have now on behalf of the residents, lodged a complaint to Padawan Municipal Council to issue a Notice to the business operators concerned to remove the containers and a further Notice of removal to the owners of the abandoned vehicles, failing which legal action to be taken against them.
