SPCB on requests for assistance on complaints of noise pollution

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau has received numerous requests for assistance on complaints of noise pollution. Excessive noise can make life a misery for others and can have a serious effect on people’s health.

Everyone can and should help with this problem by being a considerate neighbor. We all make noise but being responsible and considerate is the key to making sure our noise is not a problem for others. We must stop to think about what impact our activities have on others.

By being good and considerate neighbor will solve a lot of the complaints SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is currently receiving.

The Bureau was recently approached by a resident (surnamed Chu) who was unhappy with the noise pollution caused by a motor vehicle repair workshop operating at 8 ½ Mile, Penrissen Road, Kuching.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau have now raised and highlighted the noise pollution matter to the Director of the Department of Environment and Samarahan District Council.

It hopes that action will be taken by the Department of Environment and Samarahan District Council to solve the noise pollution problem faced by Mr Chu as soon as possible.
