SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the residents staying at Jalan Joon Onn, Off Jalan Muara Tuang who complained of the uneven dilapidated road condition with numerous potholes and illegal rubbish dump in the vicinity of their premises.

The residents, through their spokesman (Mr Tan), had requested SPCB to complain to the relevant authorities for the maintenance and repairs of the affected stretch of Jalan Joon Onn and for the removal of the illegal rubbish dump. The residents also requested that proper signage be put up to warn irresponsible members of the public from illegally throwing rubbish along Jalan Joon Onn.

The matter have since been highlighted and brought up to the attention of Public Works Department and Samarahan District Council for their prompt action.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau hopes that the relevant authorities shall tighten their enforcement of illegal rubbish dumping and increase the frequency of inspection of all roads in their area and  ensure that these roads are in good condition and maintained properly for the benefit of the public.
