SUPP in Balingian

SUPP leaders will be going to Balingian to give their full support to the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Yussibnosh Balo, 47, a former District officer from Dalat District.

SUPP, a component party of the BN and the leaders were at the Mukah Civic Centre to give their support when Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced the BN candidate on Saturday.

Publicity Chief of SUPP, Dato’ Sebastian Ting said the party would assist the BN candidate all the way till the polling day on March 29th.

He said on Nomination day which is on March 17, he and Party President, Tan Sri Peter Chin and other SUPP leaders would be there to show their full support.

He believed that the voters in Balingian could see for themselves how the BN has been with them all these years and called to the Chinese voters to throw their support behind the new Chief Minister, Tan Sri Adenan Satem.

Ting said the voters must give their support to the BN candidate as a show of support to Adenan and ensure that this time, the BN candidate will win by a bigger majority.

The Balingian seat was vacant after former Chief Minister, Pehin Taib Mahmud resigned on February 28. Taib is now Sarawak’s governor.

Taib won the seat with a majority of 5,154 votes against PKR Suriati Abdullah and independent Sallh Jafaruddin.
