Dato Sebastian working visit to China
Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting went with a Malaysian delegation led by Woman Minister, Datuk Fatimah Abdullah to join a discussion on the proposed setting up of China University of Petroluem Miri college at the International Cooperation centre Beijing led by Chen Zhen (Assistant Director).
On September 19, Ting said the group visited the China University of Petroluem is located in Huang Dao in Qing Dao to further discuss the issue headed by President of China University of Petroluem (CUP) Prof Phd Shan Hong Hong with Prof Dr Yan Zi Feng, Zhou Ying, Luo Chun, Li Jing Na.
After the discussion, he added that Zhao Dongye Research Fellow and Party Secretary of CPC Education Development Group Committee brought and showed the Malaysian delegates the facilities of CUP.
Presently this CUP has
1 20, 000 undergraduate students
2 5000 post graduate students
3 54,400 on line students
The proposed setting up of China University of Petroluem Miri College is also part of China President Xi Jin Ping ‘s new policy of “One Belt One Road”
“With strong support by the Sarawak Government especially our Chief Minister Datuk Patinngi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s various statements and in particular his recent speech made at Petronas Malaysia Day Celebration in Bintulu recently, strong support of the President of China University of Petroluem, Party Secretary of CPC Education Development Group Committe, Datuk Dr Paul Chan and his team in HELP, there is high hope that the China University of Petroluem Miri College will be a reality,” he added.
This will benefit the Miriams and Sarawakians, said Ting.
