Lantern Unity Parade
The Lanterns of Unity Parade organized by SUPP Pending Women Section, SUPP Southern Zone Women Section and Sara Urusharta Sdn Bhd will commence at 8pm tonight in front of Sarawak Plaza Shopping Complex.
The event will be officiated by the Minister of Local Government YB Senator Datuk Prof. Dr. Sim Kui Hian.
3000 FREE lanterns will be distributed to members of the public in Kuching to participate in the procession. Members of the public can collect the free lanterns from the sponsors which are Sarawak Plaza, Tun Jugah, UTC, and Riverside Shopping Complex from 6.30 pm onwards.
The lanterns will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
There will be lucky draws and also entertainment for members of the public. Participants can also bring along their own lanterns and wear traditional costume to showcase our rich culture and diversity.
