Dr Sim: continuous improvement in Oral Health services
Local Government Minister, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian officiated the Pinnacle 2020 yesterday morning at the Mukah Civic Centre.
Dr. Sim said the objective of the Pinnacle 2020 is to enhance the quality of life for Sarawakians through continuous improvement in Oral Health services delivery, to continue to mould an exemplary workforce and to maintain a culture of organisational excellence.
He said the five impact of the Pinnacle 2020 is to ensure that 35% of the 6 year old school children shall have cavity-free mouths, 70% of the 12 year old schoool children in Sarawak shall have cavity free permantent teeth, that the mean DMFXT (decayed, missing, filled teeth) of the 12 year old school children in Sarawak shall be 0.8 or less.
Dr. Sim said the 55%of the 16 year old school children in Sarwak shall have caries-free permanent teeth and that 100 percent of the 35-44 year old adults in Sarawak shall have a minimum of 20 teeth.
