Sarawak cancer centre
Sarawak will soon have a comprehensive cancer centre next to the Heart Centre in Samarahan to provide comprehensive care for children and adults including pregnant woman, said Minister for Local Government Prof Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian .
Dr. Sim said the Federal government has already agreed in principle to set up the Sarawak cancer centre.
He was saying this at the Go Bald 2016 recently launched by Datin Patinggi Datuk Jamilah Anu, the chief minister’s wife.
He said the RM400 million facility would have 200 beds . Cancer is the second worst disease in Malaysia after heart ailments.
On Go Bald 2016, Dr Sim praised the event organiser, Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS), for holding the event to raise funds to help needy children and their families.
