Supp Manifesto

President of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian who was flanked by most of the SUPP candidates and party leaders, unveiled his manifesto to achieve a improved quality of life in term of economic, social, educated, security place of Sarawak for Sarawakians.

Dr. Sim who read out the manifesto yesterday at the party headquarters said the SUPP’s mission remains the same the day the party was formed way back in 1959 but the leadership has changed. “We are only two years helming the party; give us a chance to let us show you what we are capable of. Do not be swayed by the emotions of the Opposition and let there be Chinese leaders in the State Legislative,” he said.

Although SUPP had contributed a lot to Sarawak voters in the past, we need the Chinese to give themselves a chance to be part of the CM Datuk Patinggi Adenan Satem’s team. When the cabinet is formed, Dr. Sim said he wanted the Chinese to be part of Sarawakians in the policy making process.

The manifesto included the mission of safeguarding the autonomy and rights of Sarwak, promote polices which are transparent and benefit the people, to intergrate urban and rural development of all communities.

The SUPP pledge to safeguard Sarawak Autonomy in term of immigration and education, taxation, extraction of petroleum, oil and gas within the territorial sea of Sarawak as enshrined in the Malaysian agreement 1963.

Dr. Sim said they also want to see a moderate society, quality education, support anti corruption and clean governance, youth employment, boost trade and economy, broaden the bases and versatility of agriuculture activities and products, attach great importance to labour skills, nurture a caring society, urban and rural integration, safe and happy livelihood and public accountability.
