SPCB helping out residents at Jalan Stakan

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief and SUPP Candidate for N12 Kota Sentosa, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the residents living at Jalan Stakan for his assistance to apply for traffic lights at the junction of the road leading to Kota Sentosa Commercial area.

The reasons given by the residents for their request for traffic lights is because of the heavy traffic on the road leading into Kota Sentosa Commercial area resulting in traffic congestion at the junction. The residents are of the view that a traffic light would be able to regulate traffic flow and thereby easing traffic congestion there.

Following the request for assistance received, Wilfred Yap went to inspect and assess the situation. The traffic congestion problem and the residents’ request for traffic lights to regulate the movements of vehicle at the junction of Jalan Stakan have highlighted and brought up to the attention of the Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP ) and Public Works Department (JKR).

On another matter involving the disruption of telephone connection in Kota Sentosa Commercial area, Telekom Malaysia Berhad is in the process of installing new cables and the problem should be rectified soon.
