SUPP Party President’s statement on Art. 1(2) Amendment Bill

The Art. 1(2) amendment bill as tabled by the PH government is totally unacceptable to Sarawak as the proposed amendment maintains Sarawak as one of the 13 states in Malaysia, instead of one of the 3 equal partner States to the Federation of Malaysia. We view the Bill as the Pakatan Harapan government’s another failure to honour the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (“MA63”) and in fact PH has just committed another “U turn” on their election promise to return Sabah and Sarawak’s status accorded in the MA63. Why bother to table an amendment Bill whereby the return ofRead More

Milton Foo questions Sarawak PH

There are only a few days left before the amendment of Federal Constitution on Article 1(2) is tabled in the Parliament. However, the people of Sarawak are still unclear and do not know the contents of such amendment. This is absolutely unfair to Sarawak. It proves that the MPs from Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sarawak fail to speak or voice out for Sarawakians in the Parliament. The chairman of PH Sarawak YB Chong Chieng Jen has not only failed to explain to the people of Sarawak the contents of the proposed amendments to the federal constitution, but insteadRead More
