砂中央医院安宁疗护病房重新启用礼
砂中央医院安宁疗护病房（Palliative Card Ward）重新获得启用，旨在让癌症病患或年老病患者能在不受干扰、舒适且平静的地方。 砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤日前在其夫人拿汀王淑燕的陪同下，前往中央医院再次启用的安宁疗护病房主持推展礼。 他在致词时表示，安宁疗护病房的病人，主要是让末期癌症病患抑或是已经年老的病患疗养的地方，为这些病患提供较为舒适的环境，不受医院其他繁忙病房等所影响。目前,心脏病是公认的头号杀手，其次便是癌症，紧接是死亡车祸。他也希望在政府给予的发展及便利之下，人们能善用相关便利及方便，减少车祸或悲剧的发生。 他希望砂州在医疗服务上能在3个领域上取得发展，即心脏服务、研究院以及设立癌症中心。 他指出，安宁疗护病房的设立主要是让身患重病的病患能在舒适的环境下获得疗养服务，而在这个过程中，家庭成员也必须涉及在内。他坦言，无可否认陪伴病患走到生命的尽头过程中是让人难过及悲伤的。 他举列,许多慈善活动，包括筹款晚宴等，不过，除了在金钱上能达到慈善效果外，其实每天面带微笑也是一种慈善之举。“尤其是在现今社会，很多人因为生活压力感到颓废，但是一个微笑或许可以让人们心情愉悦。”
Blood donation drive at Crown Towers
State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang officiated the opening of a blood donation drive at the Crown Towers organised jointly by Maybank and Federation Of Kuching And Samarahan Divisions Chinese Association Youth Section. Grant distributed to NGOs to assist them in their community work
The Minister for Local Government, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian gave away grant to a number of NGO (including community association, JKKK, RT, schools, religion bodies – mosque, church, temple, cultural, charity org, etc.) in Kuching for helping them to carry out their community activities. Dr Sim said he is fortunate to have grants from the Senate, his Ministry and ADUN funds for Batu Kawa. He also added that his aim is to make Kuching a more vibrant and liveable city.

罗克强出席马银行捐血活动
砂巴都吉当区州议员罗克强于今日出席马银行办事处举行的捐血活动。 这项捐血活动是由马银行与晋汉连省华青团联办。 罗克强恭贺主办单位成功举办这项富有意义的捐血活动。他称，他从20年前就开始参与捐血活动，他对此感到自豪。 他希望越来越多年轻人可以参与捐血运动，同时一些年轻人的组织也应积极举办捐血活动。 “对于企业来说，他们也可通过举办捐血活动，履行社会企业义务责任。” 他强调，每个有能力的人应该捐血，帮助有需要者，同时也借此发扬爱心与互助精神。
沈桂贤呼吁民众发挥公民义务
砂地方政府部长兼石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤呼吁民众积极发挥公民义务，若发现有任何公共设施故障或停止运作，应该马上通知相关单位。 他日前获悉石角路有超过20盏路灯没有运作，而且已经超过两个星期出现此问题。他在得知此事后，马上于凌晨1时拨打砂能源公司热线1300883111通知，要求技术人员前往维修。 他对于路灯已经故障两个星期仍没有人举报感到疑惑，这可能是民众对此丝毫不关心。 另外，沈桂贤说，他已经指示他的地方政府部门，积极鼓励社会大众踊跃成为“耳目”，协助全砂的地方议会监督民生服务，如沟渠清洁和除草等，希望大家一起携手打造更美好的居住环境。
沈桂贤移交拨款予37团体
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤称，他今年拨款的受惠团体已经至少有两百个，数额达数百万令吉。 他强调，拨款的目的，是希望受惠团体可以举办更多有意义活动，让古晋成为具有活力的城市。 他说，他发出的拨款分别为上议员拨款、石角州议员拨款和砂地方政府部拨款；除了石角州议员拨款是属于区域性拨款，只限石角团体受惠之外，其他两项拨款的受惠团体皆是无分区域，惟必须是来自砂拉越。 “因此石角地区选民和团体可放心，州议员的拨款绝对不会分给外人。” 沈桂贤是于日前在人联党总部主持拨款移交仪式时，这么表示。今日共有37个社团受惠。 他指出，有些社团的拨款较迟获得，主要是因为拨款来源和管道上的问题，他希望这些社团可以保持耐心。 他也提醒受惠团体必须善用拨款，惠及社会。
New block for SJK Chung Hua Sungai Moyan

味源港小学新校舍动土礼
砂拉越人民联合党主席兼石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤披露，首相拿督斯里纳吉已经批准对石角区15间学校拨出特别拨款，以作为维修与建校用途。 他日前出席味源港中华公学新校舍动土礼时指出，首相也对于该校拨出200万令吉，作为新校舍经费。该笔拨款已经直接汇入该校校董会户口。 他感谢联邦政府对于石角地区学校的特别关注。 沈桂贤说，虽然该校目前只有235名学生，但随着味源港和周遭地区发展蓬勃，相信学生人数很快就会达到千人。 “因此，味源港中公的新校舍计划，是应付未来的需求。” 他表示，味源港中公的学生当中，有三分之一人是土著学生，这证明华教不是只为了华裔而办。 论如何，他称，尽管许多土著生踊跃报读华小，但在小六毕业之后，往往是选择报读政府中学。对此，他表示，他将设法鼓励石角地区的土著华小生到民立中学就读，希望每年可以赞助5名土著生到该校上课。 出席今日活动者包括巴都吉当州议员兼巴达旺市议会主席罗克强、利安建筑公司董事长兼创办人陈悦枝、古晋中中校董会主席拿督黄良杰、首长署政治秘书陈开、天猛公陈如飞、100%超级廉价百货市场董事王振来以及余仁生东马区主管余凌丝。 较早前，味源港中华公学建校委员会主席林亚德披露，该校新校舍是一栋四层楼建筑，具有24间课室，耗资逾500万令吉。目前校董会已筹获300万令吉，仍不敷200多万令吉。 他说，这项工程预计需要8个月时间，最快可以在明年11月竣工。 他希望各界热血人士，公司企业等继续本着热爱华文教育的热诚与情怀，给味源港中公新校舍发展工程捐助，确保这项教育千秋大业能早日落实，惠及石角区莘莘学子。

于上个月29日在吉隆坡布特拉世界贸易中心开始的巫统全国代表大会，昨日由首相兼巫统主席拿督斯里纳吉主持开幕礼。此开幕礼获得全国国阵成员党代表出席。 砂拉越方面，出席者包括人联党主席拿督沈桂贤、土保党高级副主席拿督阿玛道格拉斯和州国阵秘书长拿督斯里斯蒂芬伦迪。

砂拉越人民联合党拿督沈桂贤服务团队成立后，定期访问石角基层，以了解民众面对的问题，进行寻求解决途径。 沈桂贤指示其团队必须要定时巡视包括诊疗所、警察局、民宅和甘榜等，确保民众面对的问题能及时被反映和解决。服务团队在巡视各个地区时，也穿着整齐的黄色制服，方便民众识别。 服务团队成员兼人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星昨日访问石角诊所，并与医生进行交流。
