罗克强：达雅节可作为旅游卖点
砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员罗克强于日前受邀出席甘榜德玛杜举行的达雅节庆典。 他在致词时表示，达雅节除了是达雅族群的佳节之外，也可作为吸引游客观光游览的旅游卖点之一。 他说，达雅节庆典主办单位可以联络酒店等，邀请入住的游客前来参与庆典，从中征取些收费，以作为甘榜社区活动的举办经费来源。 “达雅节庆典，肯定会让外国游客对于本地留下深刻印象。” 在达雅节庆典上，有民族舞蹈与选美等活动。 罗克强也呼吁年轻一代的达雅人，踊跃于投入促进达雅文化宣言与发展。
沈桂贤：82万修复甘榜登雅双溪河畔
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤披露，针对日前崩塌的甘榜登雅双溪河畔，水利灌溉局正积极展开修复河畔工程。 他说，有关河畔是今年2月与5月发生大水灾时，造成泥沙大量崩塌，今已获得联邦政府拨款82万令吉，作为修复工程费用。 他强调，这是对人民的承诺，这也是目前急需解决的问题。 沈桂贤披露，有关工程长约400米，预计需要6个月，或在今年11月完成。他强调，本身是石角选民选出来的代议士，如今选举结束，正是他履行承诺的时候。
Improvement for Kpg Tengah Sungai Riverbank Erosion project
The Drainage and Irrigation department (DID) has allocated a sum of RM820,000 for Kpg Tengah Sungai Riverbank Erosion project Minister for Local Government who is also the President of SUPP, Senator Datuk Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian announced this at the earth breaking ceremony at Kpg Tengah Sungai, Batu Kawa recently. State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang said Gawai celebration can be sold as a tourism product to earn income for the villagers.
