TDC 2014 resolutions

The following resolutions were made and approved at the TDC on 9 September 2014

 
SUPP shall safeguard the Barisan Nasional (BN) Constitution that any admission of a new political party into BN must be unanimously agreed to by all the existing BN component parties.
SUPP strongly objects to the admission of Party TERAS and Party UPP into BN, both at the State and Federal level.
SUPP insists that a Federal Minister, Deputy Minister, Assistant Minister, Political Secretary, appointee of Statutory Bodies, Ketua Masyarakat, Ketua Kaum and Local Councillors of the BN Government must be a member of a BN component Party.
SUPP demands that Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh and Datuk Dr Jerip ak Susil who had won under BN/SUPP ticket in the 2011 State Elections but have joined UPP should resign as a State Minister and Assistant Minister respectively from the State Cabinet otherwise should be dismissed from the cabinet.
SUPP shall defend the rights to contest in all the 19 State seats and 7 Parliamentary seats presently allocated to SUPP by BN at all costs. This is not negotiable.
SUPP fully supports the action by the Chief Minister to invoke on our immigration powers to prevent outsiders who are known to be religious bigots, communal  racists and trouble makers from coming into our territory and to deport them if they are already in Sarawak in order to preserve the existing unity, peace, racial harmony and religious freedom presently enjoyed by the peoples of Sarawak.
SUPP objects to the appointment of candidates to be the Ketua Kaum and / or Ketua Masyarakat of the Chinese community who are residing outside the areas of jurisdiction of the posts concerned.  
 
We urge the State Government to defend and execute the 18 points Agreement to safeguard the special interests and privileges for Sarawak at the formation of Malaysia in 1963 by the three parties, namely Sarawak, Sabah and the Federation of Malaya.
To defend and implement the 1970 Agreement in the formation of the Sarawak Coalition Government to establish a clean and efficient Government and to adhere to the concept of power sharing in administering the state.
We urge the BN Government to allocate fund to  Chinese primary school (SJKC) Chinese Independent Schools and Mission Schools systematically to finance its expenses and for the constructions of school building.  
Appeal to the state government to allocate lands to genuine farmers for their farming purposes to enable them to improve their living standards.  
To strengthen the grassroots at the non-constituency Branches so as to enable such Branches to build more political influences and to assist the BN component parties at these constituencies.  
To actively promote SEHATI FOUNDATION, and to widen its scope of function by providing financial aids to the needy students, including talented youths.  
Urge the BN Government to give more employment opportunities to the Chinese applicants to serve at the Resident and District offices, local councils, and Education Department, etc to serve the Chinese Community.  
To urge the Federal Government to increase the number of police personnels in Sarawak, especially in the major urban centres as well as upgrading the police stations, including the setting up of more new stations and /or more sub-stations in order to cope with the rising expectations and challenges on security matters in the State.  
To set up a Task Force to put up recommendations to Petronas to grant:

a)      more opportunities to Sarawak local businessmen in the oil and gas industry

b)      more local Sarawakian to hold various posts in Petronas and its subsidiary companies operating in Sarawak and

c)    more scholarship to Sarawakian students

 
To reiterate the political stance that “Sarawak for Sarawakians”  
To strengthen the Party Disciplinary Committee (DC) to strictly execute Party discipline, in order to rebuild the Public and members’ confidence in SUPP.
