SUPP Youth should be on par with global trend, says Lee Kim Shin
Sarawak United Peoples’ party (SUPP) Vice President, Datuk Lee Kim Shin calls on Central youth leaders to perform their duties with intergrity and responsibility as life is more challenging in this modern era.
Lee who is the advisor of Youth Central Committee in his speech said in today’s world, it is a challenge for youth leaders but they must be resilent and be creative and innovative while working as a team which is the basic requirement to do well.
As leaders, he added, we have our duty and obligation to impart our knowledge to them as they are the future leaders.
He said unlike yesteryears, today’s youth should keep up with the global trend and know how to manovere to make a better tomorrow as technology is now the ‘in’ thing. Youth can also help the country economically in term of their creativeness and he said an example is the South Korean K-pop which brings in multi-millions to the country.
In Sarawak, he said the Chief minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari has pave a way for the youths in term of digital economy which created a lot of job oppoortunity for them.
“Sarawak is on the right trace with high internet speed and till now, it is the only State with “Sarawak pay” in Malaysia. And CM has started our own television, Sarawak TV, something which is our pride.Through this , we can achieve a developed status by the Year 2030,” he added.
Lee added that Sarawak can achieve all these with political stability and GPS has brought political stablilty compared to other states. The future looks bright for us as long as we don’t bring in outsiders, he said.
He hoped that the youth leaders will work hard to be on par and bring pride to the party and serve Sarawak well.
