Condolence message from Tan Sri Peter Chin
President of SUPP, Tan Sri Peter Chin said the passing of Nelson Mandela is a loss not only to South Africans but the rest of the World.
Chin said the world have lost a great man, a freedom fighter and a man who had an unwavering conviction of justice, equality and peace for his people and country.
“He was a “rare breed”, a life that would be difficult to emulate in the present times. Interestingly I just finished reading a book about Nelson Mandela that I picked up recently. My thoughts at this time go to his wife, and his close family as well as the ANC of which he was so closely bonded with during his active political days. I am sure SUPP’s cadres of the sixties and early seventies can relate well to Nelson Mandela’s political struggles. May his soul rests in Heaven,” he said.
Nelson Mandela dies at aged 95 on Thursday night. He spend 27 years in Prison and was the first black president.
