A family threatened seeking help
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) was recently approached by a father for advice and assistance on a threatening message that his son received for payment of RM14,000.00.
Following the request for advice and assistance received, SPCB Chief, Wilfred Yap interviewed the father and his son and the son informed that he never borrowed any money from anyone.
Upon hearing the son’s story, SUPP Public Complaints Bureau brought the father and his sons to the police station to lodge police reports.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau would like to advice the public that if they receive any threatening/abusive/offensive messages, they should not be afraid and suffer in silence but report the matter to the nearest police station. The police will be able to confirm whether an offence have been committed based on the full facts and the individual circumstances or situation.
