SUPP youth lauded decision no direct candidate be fielded in coming GE14

Michael, who is also a Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, lauded the decision that direct candidates will not be fielded in the state for the coming 14th General Election (GE14).
On behalf of SUPP, he also extended his gratitude to Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Tan Sri James Masing for urging that SUPP should be allowed to contest its seven traditional seats in GE14.
Michael pointed out that the CM’s decision concurs with SUPP’s resolution during its last Triennial Delegate Conference that there shall be no BN direct candidates, has cleared the air. This will help to drive away doubt or qualm among BN component parties and so called BN friendly group, to be focused in preparation work for GE14.
“As passionate lover of our land, we, SUPP youth are committed to defend the interest belonging to Sarawakians by building a stronger Sarawak, then eventually a better nation.”
Michael stressed that the golden time has come for those eager to see Sarawak to be stronger. “Never in the past since independence, the current political landscape has empowered Sarawakians such a crucial role to play, and this’s the right moment for all fellow Sarawakian to stand together hand-in-hand, works towards the realization of “Sarawak Agenda”.
“I would like to urge all Sarawak BN members, together with those BN friendly members, by putting aside prejudice, give our integrated support to the Chief Minister in his effort to implement the “Sarawak agenda”, for the well-being and prosperity of all our fellow Sarawakians.”
