Bandar Kuching candidate Eric Tay Tze Kok manifesto

Bandar Kuching candidate, Eric Tay Tze Kok (GPS-SUPP) Kuching is going to tackle the issue on hand of flood and road system towards a better City Planning which is part of his nine-point manifesto.

Launched yesterday by Party President, Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Tay wants more clinics with better medical facilities and more multipurpose halls.

He also proposed the construction of affordable nursing homes for the elderly and the sick.

As his concern is on the business sector too, Tay said he will fight for low-interest loans and incentives for small & medium enterprises while creating more opportunities for entrepreneurship especially for Women and Youth.

Tay assured that he will fight for more direct flights to Kuching and to boost tourism for the domestic economy while asking for more federal grants and allocations and fair distribution among the NGOs, associations, religious, independent schools, and mission schools.

He said they will fight for autonomy for Sarawak in particular in Education, Healthcare, and Taxation.

Tay explained that as Kuching is the window of Sarawak being a Capital city it is also the centre of political administration, commerce, finance, education, and culture for the region.

However, he said, in the 18 years since the DAP won the P195 Bandar Kuching Parliamentary seat, Kuching has not only failed to rejuvenate itself, but also appears to be decaying and out of place and time. It has now come time for a change in this Parliamentary election. Only GPS, if elected to the Bandar Kuching parliamentary seat, can bring development and prosperity to the city.In this context, GPS must win 31 parliamentary seats, including Bandar Kuching. GPS will be in a stronger position to negotiate the restoration of Sarawak’s autonomy, which will benefit all people. A stronger Sarawak leads to a more prosperous Kuching.

“If elected as the MP for P195, I will pursue the ‘Sarawak First’ agenda, fearlessly and selflessly voicing the needs and grievances of the people, and ensuring that our voices and demands are heard loud and clear. I would seek additional federal funds, and with the full support of the state agencies, to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities for Kuching,” he assured.
