All travellers to be quarantine
Travellers entering Sarawak be it by air, land or sea will be placed under compulsory quarantine for 14 days at quarantine centres starting April 5, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
He said the federal government’s policy also required travellers who enter Kuala Lumpur to be quarantined for 14 days.
Uggah said a lot of cases are imported cases and to contain the Covid-19 situation, that is the requirement.
The arriving travellers will be placed in respective quarantine facility or hotel in their landing base.
The government will be paying for the two-week quarantine period at the hotel.
