全国南狮争霸赛本月6日举行

石角选区排水系统获改善
砂副总理兼石角区议员拿督阿玛沈桂贤今年总共在石角选区清理24条沟渠，总斥资为32万3105令吉，大大改善选区内排水系统，从而减少发生水患风险。 实际上自2016年迄今，沈桂贤就积极推动清理选区内河道计划，相关工程一直持续，从未间断，而今年清理的沟渠总长度为39公里。 他说，这些泥沟与河道的清理、挖深与扩宽工程由水利灌溉局执行，随着工程逐步落实，大大提升了当地排水系统的顺畅度，降低因积水而导致水患的可能性。 “选区内过去屡次面对沟渠淤泥堵塞、河水泛滥等问题，为居民带来诸多不便，因此持续进行清沟工程十分必要。” 今年清理的沟渠包括金珠盛中华公学路、新山肚中华公学路、阿兰英达、原创花园、新山肚顺华路、味源港路、西里益路、下沙垅路、民中路、石角老巴刹、义顺路、甘榜新纳布迪、苏米拉生态园、苏米拉生态公园、石山路、德莎威拉、金珠盛金兴路、石角马当路、味源港砂卡路、味源港培元路、金吉路、金珠盛路、三景花园和张荣昌路 他提到，自2016年担任石角区议员以来，他与水利灌溉局密切合作，也鉴定出一些长期缺乏清理、导致野草滋生及泥土侵蚀河床深度的地点。正因如此，当局决定将这些泥沟纳入每年的清理工程，实践也证明此举成效良好，有助维持排水系统的功能。 不过，他强调，清理河道属持续性工作，即使每年都进行，也难完全避免野草重生甚至出现其他阻碍物，影响排水系统。因此，这类工程必须长期维护，不可能“一劳永逸”。 “由于一些沟渠清理与挖掘工程涉及土地拥有人，因此水利灌溉局在动工前必须取得相关地主的同意。部分申请已获批准，工程预计将在近期展开，以回应居民要求。” 沈桂贤说，许多来自石角民众服务中心的投诉与要求都与清理沟渠、挖深泥沟有关，而相关申请在获得批准后，当局会按需求尽快安排施工，避免阻塞影响排水系统。
