{"id":8393,"date":"2015-11-10T10:10:30","date_gmt":"2015-11-10T02:10:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=8393"},"modified":"2015-11-10T14:46:34","modified_gmt":"2015-11-10T06:46:34","slug":"tan-sri-masing-on-concept-of-merger-of-the-minds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=8393","title":{"rendered":"Tan Sri Masing on concept of \u2018merger of the minds\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PRS president Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Masing has clarified that the concept of \u2018merger of the minds\u2019 is actually to defend the principles of BN.<\/p>\n<p>He said an article entitled \u2018The UPP-SUPP Conundrum\u201d published in the Sunday Post yesterday has totally misconstrued the concept.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe merger of the minds is to defend the BN principles, nothing more, nothing less. It should not be seen as something with an ulterior motive,\u201d said Masing to a press conference at the PRS headquarters yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is nothing wrong in the defence of the principle. Do not assume that we have other agenda behind it.\u201d said Masing, who is also Minister for Land Development.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that it was not wrong for the state BN parties (PRS, SPDP and SUPP) to defend the BN principles.<\/p>\n<p>Masing hoped that\u00a0 PBB would join in the \u2018merger of the minds\u2019 on their own will without waiting for an invitation from the three BN parties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is like teaching a duck how to swim. I am sure they will agree with the concept because if we in the BN do not defend the principles of the party who else will?\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>Masing also said there should not be any insinuation that he wants to hold the number two, number three or number one post in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPRS is doing that (merger of the minds) in defence of the BN principles.
