It is regrettable that the\u00a0PBB Supreme Council member Datuk Abdul\u00a0Karim has termed\u00a0and equated PBB’s friendship with UPP, a non BN party,\u00a0as much as the same towards its BN allied party SUPP, rather than\u00a0“comradeship” which is far more than a mere friendship.<\/p>\n
In response to Abdul Karim’s statement published in BP\u00a0and See Hua\u00a0Daily News today that PBB respects friendly party like UPP as much as\u00a0it respects SUPP, Milton Foo the Youth Central Publicity Secretary\u00a0discerns\u00a0and draws the attention of the following facts to PBB leaders:<\/p>\n
1. SUPP is a BN party while UPP is a NOT a BN party.<\/p>\n
2. As a matter of principle\u00a0and in the spirit of BN comradeship, PBB\u00a0should show its solidarity with SUPP at all times (just as SUPP\u00a0rendered its solidarity to PBB during the Ming’s Court incident in\u00a01987), rather than making statement which may cause ill feeling or\u00a0hard feeling to the members of SUPP.<\/p>\n
3. The presence of Datuk Amar Abang Johari as Deputy President of\u00a0PBB at UPP’s TDC\u00a0and the mischievous use of BN logo by UPP in its TDC\u00a0may cause or mislead the public at large to think that UPP is already\u00a0a BN component party which is not the case in actual fact; a matter\u00a0which warrants a serious discussion in the BN Supreme Council meeting\u00a0as propounded by the President of SUPP Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian. It is\u00a0therefore misconceived if not inappropriate to say that Dr Sim has\u00a0over reacted on this matter as reported in See Hua Daily News today.<\/p>\n
