He said he would not like to talk about party problems through the media but rather, he would want to sit down with the grieved party to talk things out.

Chin said all this time, fingers were pointed at him should ROS de-register the party and I was made to be the culprit in all this melee. “I never for once complain to ROS as it is not my nature to do so. So why was the blame pushed to me,” he queried.

On another matter, Chin said Bintulu SUPP Chairman Henry Ling commented in the papers that the party’s Disciplinary Committee members should not take the law into their own hands by giving 5 persons show caused letters, one of whom is Wong Soon Koh.

Expaining that it was clearly stated in the party’s constitution under Section 25 Subsection 17 that the Central Committee has that right, Chin said he did not write the party’s constitution as it was there since its formation.

In Kuching, Secretary of the Discipline Committee, Mathew Chen held a press conference advising party leaders to refrain from making unnecessary statements that would cause disharmony and confusion among the members.

Chen said Bintulu Henry Ling should not make such comment about the Disciplinary Committee as it is recognised by the ROS.

He said on March 3, 2012, Secretary general of the party had written to make queries on the status of SUPP after complaints were lodged by Wong’s team on irregularities.

Three weeks later, ROS replied and specify that they considered the Central Committee as valid. And the Central committee has a right to set up a Disciplinary Committee.

Chen said the Disciplinary committee is set up by respectful veteran headed by Datuk William Tanyud with Tan Chong Meng, Datuk Hii Tiong Kok, Bong Kee Ling and Chung Yek Choo.

President, Tan Sri Peter Chin.

Mathew Chen

President of SUPP, Tan Sri Peter Chin believed that the Registrar of Society (ROS) would not de–register SUPP should there really be irregularities in two branches, Bekenu and Piasau.
