{"id":4181,"date":"2014-10-02T21:38:57","date_gmt":"2014-10-02T13:38:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=4181"},"modified":"2014-10-02T21:49:14","modified_gmt":"2014-10-02T13:49:14","slug":"increase-of-petrol-price","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.suppnewsportal.com\/main\/?p=4181","title":{"rendered":"Increase of petrol price"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sarawak United Peoples\u2019 Party Youth Chief, Tan Kai said it was unfortunate that petrol price has to increase.\u00a0 The RON95 petrol and diesel prices increased by 20 sen per litre at the stroke of midnight on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Tan Kai said the government\u2019s intention to increase the price was also to rationale the lowering of subsidy for fuel while at the same time, stop its smuggling. \u201cThe foreigners benefit due to the low price and there was a lot of smuggling going on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Although the increase is inevitable, Tan Kai hoped that the government will think of a concrete plan to cushion the drastic increase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe worrying thing is that the increase will affect the prices of daily food and necessities to go up. I hope the BRIM can balance some of the losses for the people.
