Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman Tan Kai said the council has instructed its officers to take immediate action following issues identified during a routine site inspection conducted by Resident Councillor for Zone 7 (Batu Kawah), Cr Gary Yeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tan Kai said the inspection, carried out together with council officers, was part of ongoing efforts to assess the condition of public facilities and municipal services within the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMunicipal services directly affect the living environment and wellbeing of residents. Such situations are not acceptable, and I have instructed the relevant officers to investigate immediately and ensure that the necessary corrective actions are taken without delay,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the inspection, Yeo found that public facilities and municipal services in the area were generally well maintained. However, overgrown grass was observed along sections of earth drains at Jalan Kim Su Sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was also approached by residents at Jalan Kim Phang who requested excavation works to be carried out on an earth drain in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the inspection, council officers were directed to assess the situation and coordinate the necessary maintenance works at both locations.
Tan encouraged residents to continue providing feedback and reporting maintenance issues in their neighbourhoods to enable the council to respond promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will continue to monitor the situation closely and work together with all relevant parties to ensure the area remains clean, safe and well maintained,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents in the Batu Kawah and Datuk Stephen Yong Road areas may contact their resident councillors for assistance and feedback on local municipal matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
