Sentosa assemblyman, Wilfred Yap is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project to upgrade the public toilet at the 7th Mile Wet Market, Kota Sentosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yap officially witnessed the contractor handing over the completed project to the Chairman of the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Tan Kai, marking the completion of another people-centric development initiative under the Sarawak Government’s RTP programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project, with an allocation of RM205,195 under Wilfred Yap’s RTP allocation, was implemented to address longstanding concerns regarding the dilapidated condition of the public toilet facilities at one of the busiest markets in Kota Sentosa. The upgraded facility now provides a cleaner, safer, more comfortable and user-friendly environment for traders, shoppers and members of the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This project complements the earlier upgrading works carried out at the 7th Mile Wet Market costing RM400,000 under RTP and reflects the Sarawak Government’s continuous commitment to improving public amenities and enhancing the quality of life of our communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Public infrastructure such as market facilities and public toilets may not always attract headlines, but they play an important role in the daily lives of thousands of residents. Well-maintained facilities contribute to public health, hygiene, comfort and the overall image of our township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the elected representative for N.12 Kota Sentosa, Yap said he will continue to work closely with local authorities and community stakeholders to identify and implement practical projects that directly benefit the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
