Sarawak United Peoples’ Party Kuching Branch acting secretary Nicholas Wung has called on the public to take proactive steps in safeguarding their health by participating in an upcoming Community Influenza Vaccination Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the programme, organised by SUPP Kuching Branch Youth Section in collaboration with Yayasan Pengguna Negara Malaysia Sarawak Branch, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Pengguna Sarawak, and JKKK Jalan Rock Bampfylde, aims to provide affordable and accessible influenza vaccination to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis initiative is part of our continuous effort to protect the well being of the public by making influenza vaccines more accessible. Vaccination not only helps prevent infection but also reduces the risk of severe complications and protects families as well as the wider community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme will be held on May 1, 2026 from 12 noon to 4 pm at the SUPP Kuching Branch Service Centre, Pusat Khidmat N9 Padungan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vaccination fee is RM50 per dose, with participation limited to 150 individuals on a first come first served basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of the public are reminded to bring their Identification Card for verification. Senior citizens aged 60 and above may utilise the Senior Citizen Health Benefit to cover the vaccination fee, subject to prior application and approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
