The extension of the student bus stop at SMK St Columba Miri has been completed a month ahead of schedule, providing better facilities for students and parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Datuk Sebastian Ting said the RM100,000 project, funded under the 2023 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), involved two shelters with a total length of 52 metres. Initially planned for 2024, the project began in March and was completed in July, earlier than the original August deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ting said the upgraded shelter will offer greater comfort, particularly during rainy weather, and thanked the school, contractor, and Public Works Department for their cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal expressed gratitude to Ting, noting the project\u2019s benefit to both teachers and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ting also inspected the school\u2019s basketball court and revealed that an application for RM200,000 under the 2025 RTP has been submitted to refurbish the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
