State Assemblyman for Kota Sentosa, Wilfred Yap officiated at the Social Welfare Assistance Briefing jointly organised by his Kota Sentosa Service Centre and the Kuching Division Welfare Department (JKM) for community leaders within the constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The briefing highlighted key welfare assistance programmes under the Sarawak Government, including the Bantuan Warga Emas (BWE), Bantuan Kanak-Kanak (BKK), Bantuan Orang Kurang Upaya (BKU), Bantuan Penjagaan OKU\/Pesakit Terlantar (BPT), Bantuan Am Negeri (BA), Bantuan Belia Beliawanis (BBB), Bantuan Anak Pelihara (BAP), Bantuan Khas Pesakit Buah Pinggang (BKPBP), Bantuan Perubatan (BP), Bantuan Alat Tiruan (BAT), Bantuan Tabung Segera (TBS), Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC), Bantuan Ihsan Kematian (BIK) and Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yap said the session also included a hands-on simulation to train community leaders on how to assist residents in applying for these benefits accurately and efficiently especially for single mothers, children, youth, senior citizens, the differently-abled, and patients requiring long-term care or dialysis support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yap commended the Kuching Division Welfare Department for its proactive effort in bringing government services closer to the people through outreach and practical training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the programme reflects the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Government\u2019s continuous commitment, under the leadership of YAB Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, to ensure that every Sarawakian especially the elderly and those in need receives fair, timely, and dignified assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GPS Government continues to demonstrate that it is a truly caring and compassionate government. Programmes such as KGC, BIK, SCHB, BWE, BKK, BKU, BPT, BA, BBB, BAP, TBS, BAT and BKPBP are not just financial aids as they represent compassion, dignity, and appreciation for our senior citizens, youth, families, and those facing health or economic challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yap stressed that empowering community leaders with accurate knowledge enables them to act as important bridges between government agencies and the people, ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing welfare support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As elected representative, he said he will continue to support initiatives that uplift the wellbeing of every resident in Kota Sentosa. Together, we will ensure that the GPS Government\u2019s compassion and care reach every household.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
